Synopsis

Le film aborde le thème de l’envahissement des machines autour de nous. Avons-nous passé le point de basculement et les machines sont-elles devenues trop puissantes pour être encore contrôlées par l’humain ? Au-delà des objets technologiques, la machine s’est infiltrée à l’intérieur même de nous, dans notre façon de penser et de voir le monde.
Dans la tradition du cinéma-manifeste où entrevues, actions captées sur le vif et séquences poétiques composent le matériau de l’œuvre, le film pose la question de la pensée binaire au cœur de la modernité technoscientifique.

The film tackles the theme of the invasion of machines around us. With the advent of artificial intelligence, people are concerned about the increasing autonomous capabilities of technology. Have we passed the tipping point, and have machines become too powerful to be controlled by humans? While legitimate, these fears conceal the real danger. Beyond technological objects, the machine has infiltrated our very being, our way of thinking and seeing the world.

La Pensée-Machine presents the point of view of new philosophers such as Dalie Giroux and Louis Marion, who question the impact positivism has on our relationship with the natural world.
